Research and Development for the AF Nuclear Enterprise

This requirement is for the procurement of engineering, systems engineering for complex systems, research, and development services, which apply science and technology for the enhancement of the surety, reliability, viability, and survivability of the United States Air Force's (USAF) nuclear weapons systems. JHU/APL shall establish and maintain essential and critical engineering, research, and development capabilities and services. The effort to be performed under the contract is comprised of identifying and assessing capabilities and vulnerabilities of USAF's nuclear weapon systems throughout the weapons' lifecycle, including current, near-term, and future threats.
