Request for Quote (RFQ) for surgical instrument repair and preventive maintenance of Reusable Medical Equipment   2

Background
This Request for Quote (RFQ) is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs for surgical instrument repair and preventive maintenance of Reusable Medical Equipment at the Atlanta VA Hospital.
The goal of this contract is to ensure cost efficiency and high-quality service through skilled technicians, thereby enhancing the operational capabilities of the Sterile Processing Service (SPS).
This solicitation is a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).

Work Details
The contractor shall provide surgical instrument repair and preventive maintenance services for Reusable Medical Equipment (RME) in accordance with the Statement of Work.
Specific requirements include:
- On-site surgical instrument repair, sharpening, refurbishing, or replacing as needed.
- Repair of closed surgical case carts and cleaning of steam sterilizers biannually.
- Services to be performed at two locations:
1. Atlanta VA Hospital SPS Department, 1670 Clairmont Rd., Decatur, GA 30033
2. Cobb VA North Clinic, 1263 Cobb Pkwy N., Marietta, GA 30066.
- The contractor must comply with standards set by ANSI, AAMI, CDC, IAHCSMM, AORN, and APIC.
- The contract includes a base period from June 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026 and four option years extending through May 31, 2030.

Period of Performance
Base: June 1, 2025 – May 31, 2026; Option Year 1: June 1, 2026 – May 31, 2027; Option Year 2: June 1, 2027 – May 31, 2028; Option Year 3: June 1, 2028 – May 31, 2029; Option Year 4: June 1, 2029 – May 31, 2030.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Atlanta VA Hospital SPS Department located at 1670 Clairmont Rd., Decatur, GA and Cobb VA North Clinic located at 1263 Cobb Pkwy N., Marietta, GA.
