1.0 Desciption
1.1 The Precision Fires Rocket and Missile Systems (PFRMS) Project Office (PO) has a requirement to provide engineering services in support of the Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) Launcher Instrumentation Data Acquisition System (LIDAS) and the MLRS Family of Munitions (MFOM) Weapons Simulator (MWSA1). The LIDAS and MWSA1 are highly specialized instrumentation used in MLRS test activities involving data acquisition and data reduction and analysis, to support MLRS and the various improvement programs to the launcher, rockets, and warheads.

1.2 THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue a RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Army is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities website (https://www.fedbizopps.gov). It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement.

2.0 Background

2.1 This requirement is for the continuation of an services contract for a period of 60 months, beginning in November 2018.

3.0 Responses

3.1 All responses shall be unclassified.

3.2 All assumptions, including any assumed Government support, shall be clearly identified. All proprietary and restricted information shall be clearly marked.

3.3 The Government will not reimburse contractors or responders to this notice for any costs incurred in responding, or any subsequent exchange of information. All responses shall be transmitted electronically to monica.l.johnson56.civ@mail.mil.

4.0 Questions

4.1 Questions regarding this announcement shall be submitted in writing by e-mail to the Contracting Officer, email address. Verbal questions will NOT be accepted. The Government does not guarantee that questions received after 30 August 2018, 4:00p.m. central time will be answered.
