Background
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability of commercial cotton blend woven fabric for use in the Operational Dress Uniform (ODU) and Coast Guard Working Uniform (CGWU). After reviewing industry submissions, the most promising fabrics may be down-selected and subjected to a wear test evaluation. Successful fabrics may be considered for the ODU and transitioned to the CGWU.

Work Details
This request for information (RFI) is seeking sources for domestically produced commercially available cotton blend woven fabric with ripstop in a medium weight (class 1) and lightweight variant (class 2). The solicitation includes specific physical requirements, additional attributes, and requested information from interested parties. Interested parties are required to submit a cover sheet, spec sheet, a minimum of 5 yards full-width fabric in any color, complete disclosure of chemical treatments if using topical finish, and information certifying that the finished product is composed of materials which have been safely used commercially or provide sufficient toxicity data to show compatibility with prolonged, direct skin contact. The requested information and sample yardage should be received at CDTO no later than 25 May 2023.
