Description

The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center/Nuclear Weapons Acquisition Division(AFNWC/NDBD), Eglin AFB, FL, requests information regarding prototype fabrication, qualification, and production of Suspension Underwing Unit 72 (SUU-72) pylon ejector fittings. The ejector fittings are used to mount MAU-12 ejector racks on SUU-72 pylons.

Background
The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center/Nuclear Weapons Acquisition Division (AFNWC/NDBD) at Eglin AFB, FL, is seeking information regarding the prototype fabrication, qualification, and production of Suspension Underwing Unit – 72 (SUU-72) pylon ejector fittings.

These fittings are essential for mounting MAU-12 ejector racks on SUU-72 pylons, supporting the mission of the Air Force in maintaining and enhancing its nuclear capabilities.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

a. Building qualification samples as per Attachment 1 - Drawing 426-10521 (Ejector Fitting Forging) and Attachment 2 – Drawing 426-10110 (Ejector Fitting Machining).

b. Performing qualification tests based on parts lists in Attachment 3 - PL426-10521 (Ejector Fitting Forging Parts List) and Attachment 4 - PL426-10110 (Ejector Fitting Mach Parts List).

c. Preparing and submitting test reports to AFNWC/NDBD.

d. Building four (4) ejector fittings for delivery to AFNWC/NDBD for first article inspections and fit-checks.

e. Upon approval of first article inspection and successful completion of fit checks, fabricating approximately 100 ejector fittings. Note that this project is limited to the ejector fitting and installed bushing only, excluding associated hardware such as bolts and lock rings.
