Request for Information (RFI) for Versatile Diagnostic Automatic Test Station (VDATS) Engineering Services

Background
The United States Air Force (USAF) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to acquire Engineering Services for the Versatile Diagnostic Automatic Test Station (VDATS) testers, which are critical for testing avionics components across multiple aircraft platforms.

The VDATS system, developed and supported by the USAF at Robins AFB, provides both depot and intermediate-level maintenance capabilities. This acquisition aims to sustain the VDATS testers by identifying obsolescent parts through a proactive management program.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Engineering Services for the VDATS testers, including:
1. Obsolescence monitoring and forecasting to identify diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS).
2. Establishing a DMSMS management program that includes proactive monitoring of all VDATS components, risk and impact analysis upon identification of obsolescence issues, case management for tracking issues from detection to resolution, and proposing cost-effective resolution strategies.
3. Delivering quarterly DMSMS health analysis reports and maintaining an updated list of at-risk components.
4. Compliance with quality management system requirements, including submission of Contractor Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables via Multi-user ECP Automated Review System (MEARS).
5. Adherence to safety and environmental regulations as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

Period of Performance
The contract will include one 12-month basic period with two additional 12-month options.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Contractor's facility.
