Background
The U.S. Army Futures Command, Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation and Missile Center (AFC CCDC AvMC) is developing a guidance assisted ballistic missile for air targets. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gather information on existing mature (TRL 9) Control Actuation System (CAS) capabilities that can support the needs for the controls and missile characteristics detailed below.

Work Details
The range of missile characteristics being considered include: Outer Diameters: 16 in – 20 in, Lengths: 15 ft – 20 ft, Missile Masses: 1400-2000 lbs.

The range of CAS characteristics include: Blast Tube Keep Out: 5.0-8.0 inches, Unloaded Slew Rate: 300-400 o/s, 1 deg Bandwidth: 20-25 Hz, Stall Torque: > 250 in-lbf.

The system concept and critical technology ideas provided by respondents will be used to augment and refine current government system concepts and associated critical technologies.
