Request for Information- Interim Soft Kill System

Background
The U.S. Army, Project Lead Capability Transition and Product Integration (PdL CTPI), and Product Manager Vehicle Protection Systems (PdM VPS) seeks to identify potential sources of supply capable of producing an Interim Soft Kill System (ISKS) to be used on various United States Army Combat Vehicles. The ongoing protection and survivability assurance of Ground Combat Tactical Vehicles (GCTV) on the battlefield presents a significant challenge to the U.S Army. To address the need for added protection on GCTVs, the Army is looking at autonomous, vehicle agnostic, light weight Soft-Kill active protection system (SK APS) that will be easily installed on to a vehicle platform and be able to detect and defeat Class 1 Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM). SK APS senses the environment for required threat information and employs electronic warfare (EW) to interfere with the guidance mechanism(s) or the operator of the susceptible threat(s) rendering it ineffective against the protected vehicle.

Work Details
The U.S. Army is seeking potential sources capable of producing an Interim Soft Kill System (ISKS) for use on various United States Army Combat Vehicles. The system should be autonomous, vehicle agnostic, lightweight, and able to detect and defeat Class 1 Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM). The system should employ electronic warfare (EW) to interfere with the guidance mechanism(s) or the operator of the susceptible threat(s), rendering them ineffective against the protected vehicle.

Interested parties are requested to respond to this Request for Information (RFI) by providing answers to a questionnaire. Responses should be submitted electronically by 24 November 2023.
