The 502d Contracting Squadron at JBSA Lackland is conducting market research to identify potential contractors capable of the provision, installation, and upgrade of Intrusion Detection Software and Acces Control System at Lackland AFB as described in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). Background
The 502d Contracting Squadron at JBSA Lackland is conducting market research to identify potential contractors capable of providing, installing, and upgrading Intrusion Detection Software (IDS) and Access Control Systems (ACS) at Lackland AFB.

The goal of this contract is to enhance the security infrastructure at the base while ensuring minimal disruption to existing operations.

Work Details
The contract involves the installation and configuration of new appliances to match current system requirements/design as well as incorporating new features specified in the Statement of Work (SOW).

Key details include:
- The ACS V5 supports three buildings.
- There is one IDS V5 and ten ACS V5s currently in place.
- Six of the ACS V5s support the three buildings.
- Coordination of changes must ensure minimal impact on BDOC visibility of alarm points and maintain facility security.
- Any changes will require approval from local building security officers.
- If approved, an upgrade from V5 to V6 appliances may occur based on the CMD Equipment Approval list dated 29Apr2024.
