Request For Information - Electrical IDIQ EAFB

Background
This is a Request for Information/Sources Sought for a potential Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Electrical Services at Edwards Air Force Base (AFB), California. The contract aims to support the electrical requirements of Edwards AFB, including the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and other tenant organizations. The goal is to ensure that all electrical work complies with industry standards and provides necessary maintenance, repair, and installation services.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform a variety of electrical tasks including but not limited to: pulling wire, repairing panel boards, rough and finish electrical work, inspecting electrical systems, providing blueprints and electrical studies, bending conduit, lifting heavy objects, repairing transformers and switches, conducting design studies, and performing load studies.

The scope also includes the repair, alteration, maintenance, and new installation of electrical systems up to 34.5 kV, grounding systems, airfield lighting, fire alarms, Energy Management and Control Systems (EMCS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, generators, lightning protection systems, cathodic protection systems, and associated works. All work must comply with Unified Facility Criteria (UFC), National Electrical Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards among others. Additionally, the contractor will be responsible for lead and asbestos abatement as required. Specific scopes of work will be detailed in individual Task Orders (TOs).

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Edwards Air Force Base in California including the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and Air Force Plant 42 in Palmdale.
