This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS)/RFI is issued for informational purposes and market research only; it does not constitute a solicitation. The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any expenses associated with preparing/submitting information in response to this posting. The information provided may be used by the Government in developing its acquisition strategy, statement of work/statement of objectives, and/or performance specifications. The USAF Life Cycle Management Center, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance & Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate, Tactical Air Control Party Modernization (TACP-M) Program Office (AFLCMC/WISN) is conducting market research to identify possible sources capable of enabling TACP Core Computers with Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) Dual Data at Rest (DAR) capabilities. Currently, TACP Core Computers that have accessed classified networks retain a classified status, creating logistical and operational security concerns during travel and field operations. This modification will allow these computers to ensure classified Data at Rest is properly sanitized, enabling the computers to be considered unclassified when powered off or logged out, mitigating these risks and enhancing operational security. This will be achieved through a minimum hardware update to the hard drives (to support full disk encryption) and a software update.

Background
The USAF Life Cycle Management Center, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance & Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate, Tactical Air Control Party Modernization (TACP-M) Program Office (AFLCMC/WISN) is conducting market research to identify possible sources capable of enabling TACP Core Computers with Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) Dual Data at Rest (DAR) capabilities.

The current status of TACP Core Computers that have accessed classified networks raises logistical and operational security concerns during travel and field operations. This modification aims to ensure that classified Data at Rest is properly sanitized, allowing the computers to be considered unclassified when powered off or logged out, thereby mitigating risks and enhancing operational security. This will be achieved through a minimum hardware update to the hard drives to support full disk encryption and a software update.

Work Details
The proposed solution must meet the following system requirements:

1. Solid State Drive (SSD) Requirements:
- NVMe SSD (removable)
- M.2 2280 form factor
- Trusted Computing Group (TCG) Opal Compliant
- Minimum capacity of 1 TB
- Hard drive must be mountable in canisters designed for integration with Getac B360 G2 or G3 series laptops.

2. CSfC Requirements:
- The DAR package must be NSA-certified for Full Drive Encryption (FDE).
- The solution must comply with NIAP-approved collaborative protection profiles (CPP) for FDE Authorization Acquisition and Encryption Engine (AA, EE), specifically CPP_FDE_AA_V2.0E and CPP_FDE_EE_V2.0E for Encrypted Storage.
