Replacement of four HySecurity gate operators

Background
The U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, is seeking contractor professional services for the replacement of four HySecurity slide gate controllers. The goal of this contract is to ensure the security and functionality of the gate systems in accordance with applicable industry standards and U.S. Embassy security requirements.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, supervision, and necessary materials to remove four (4) old industrial sliding gate operators and replace them with four (4) new HySecurity sliding gate operators provided by the U.S. Embassy. The specific tasks include:

- Site Survey & Preparation: Familiarization with existing gate infrastructure.

- Removal of Existing Equipment: Safe removal and disposal of four existing HySecurity sliding gate operators (Model: SlideDriver 50VF2-EFO).

- Installation of New Operators: Installation of four new HySecurity operators (Models: three SlideDriver 50VF2/3 and one Slide Driver II SD50F), ensuring proper alignment and integration with existing or new PLC systems.

- Specifications: Continuous duty, Voltage: 220V 50Hz Single Phase, 2 hp Horsepower, Hydraulic Drive with VFD motor control.

- Wiring & Components: Inspection and installation of control wiring and safety devices.

- Testing & Commissioning: Functional tests to ensure compliance with safety standards (e.g., UL 325 and ASTM 2200).

- Training for local maintenance staff on operation and preventative maintenance.

- Deliverables include installation reports, operation manuals, as-built drawings, and a trip completion report.

Period of Performance
The installation, testing, and training must be completed within 60 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
