Replace Roofing and Siding on Ocracoke Maintenance   2

Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of roofing and siding on the Ocracoke Maintenance Building located at Cape Hatteras National Seashore. The goal of this contract is to ensure the maintenance building is adequately protected and functional, aligning with the agency's mission to preserve natural and cultural resources.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to replace the roofing and siding on the Ocracoke Maintenance Building. Specific tasks include:
1. Removal of existing roofing and siding materials.
2. Installation of new roofing and siding materials as per specifications.
3. Repair of identified corroded members (Option 01).
4. Demolition of existing heating systems (Option 02). The work must comply with all applicable codes and standards.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is from September 15, 2026, to January 13, 2027.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Cape Hatteras National Seashore in Ocracoke, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements
This solicitation is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). Bidders must have this designation in their registration. Additionally, bidders are required to provide a Bid Guarantee (Bid Bond) at 20% of the bid total, furnish performance and payment bonds within 10 calendar days after award, and possess appropriate contractor licensing.
