Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO-8) intends to award a fixed-price contract for construction services to complete project number 546-24-119, 'Replace Roof in Building 7, located at the Miami VA Medical Center (MVAMC) at 1201 NW 16th Street, Miami, FL 33125.' The contractor is required to furnish sufficient technical, supervisory, and administrative personnel to ensure the expeditious accomplishment of the work specified in this Statement of Work (SOW), Replace Roof in Building 7 at Miami VA Medical Center. Additionally, the contractor shall furnish all services, materials, supplies, equipment, site investigations, studies, and travel required in connection with this SOW.

Work Details
The project involves replacing the roof in Building 7 at Miami VA Medical Center. The contractor is required to perform various tasks including demolishing existing roof systems, adapting necessary government drawings or specifications, complying with the Buy American Act (BAA), and ensuring that all equipment and material comply with specified standards. The project is limited to specific areas of the building and includes detailed requirements for each area such as demotion of existing roof systems, restoration of existing metal roof panels, replacement of concrete double slab roofing system with pedestrian traffic coating, and replacement of cold adhesive SBS modified bituminous membrane roofing. The contractor must also adhere to various laws, regulations, policies, and procedures including VAAR, VA Directives, Design Manuals, Master Specs, ASME, OSHA, and SCA DOL Website.

Period of Performance
The Period of Performance for the contract is 240 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
