Replace Pacific East District Superintendent?s Office, Yokota AB, Japan   3

Background
The solicitation is for the construction of a District Superintendent’s Office (DSO) facility at Yokota Air Base, Japan. The project includes the construction of various functional areas such as staff private offices, conference rooms, storage, training rooms, logistics warehouse, and other required areas for a fully functional administrative office. The construction is anticipated to consist of shallow foundation systems, reinforced concrete and structural steel framing, and reinforced concrete bearing and shear-walls. The project also includes the construction of a stand-alone water pump facility for fire protection. The design and construction will incorporate Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) principles for high performance and sustainable building requirements in accordance with federal laws and Executive Orders. Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) features will comply with AT/FP regulations, and physical security mitigation in accordance with DoD Minimum Anti-Terrorism Standards for Buildings and any Theater-specific requirements. Cyber security engineering and validation as specified in DoD Unified Facilities Criteria will also be included.

The construction is expected to involve shallow foundation systems, reinforced concrete and structural steel framing, reinforced concrete bearing and shear-walls, gypsum wallboard partitions, operable/movable partition walls, and a stand-alone water pump facility for fire protection. The project will also incorporate Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) principles for high performance and sustainable building requirements in accordance with federal laws and Executive Orders. Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) features will comply with AT/FP regulations, physical security mitigation in accordance with DoD Minimum Anti-Terrorism Standards for Buildings and any Theater-specific requirements.
