Background
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic is issuing this contract for the replacement of differential relays at Substation #1 located at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina. The mission of the agency is to provide facilities engineering and acquisition support to the Marine Corps and other federal agencies.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the operational integrity and safety of electrical systems at the substation through timely upgrades.

Work Details
The primary task under this contract involves replacing differential relays at Substation #1. This project falls under Project No. 7451275 and is expected to be completed within 150 days after award. The estimated cost range for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000.

Contractors must adhere to wage determinations as per General Decision Number: NC20250018 dated 01/03/2025, which includes compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act for prevailing wage rates applicable to building construction projects in Craven, Jones, and Pamlico Counties in North Carolina. Liquidated damages will be assessed at a rate of $50 per calendar day for delays beyond the completion date. Additionally, contractors are required to submit bid bonds based on project value; no bonds are required for proposals less than $40K, while those valued at $40K or greater will require a payment bond only.
