Repair/Reconfigure Bldg. 54, McConnell AFB, Kansas   4

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District intends to solicit and award a Design-Bid-Build (DBB) contract to repair/reconfigure Building 54 to support Cyberspace Security and Control Systems (CSCS) Weapon System consisting of Network Operations Squadron (NOS) mission at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas. The Government proposes to issue a firm-fixed-price type contract for this project. This requirement is an Unrestricted/Full and Open competitive acquisition: both small and large businesses are eligible to respond.

Work Details
The planned project will repair and reconfigure Building 54, which houses the 299th Network Operations Squadron. This project provides critical infrastructure to the 40,699 square foot facility and includes the complete replacement of the HVAC, electrical systems, fire protection, and fire alarm system. The replacement of the fire alarm and fire protection systems must comply with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), DoD, and Air Force design standards to meet requirements to provide the Mass Notification System.

The estimated period of performance for all work under the awarded contract is 730 calendar days. This procurement is funded with FY24 Facilities Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (FRSM) one-year funding classified as Construction.
