Description

(a) This solicitation is for a five (5) year Requirements Contract. It will include a one (1) year basic period with Four (4) one-year option periods. The best estimated quantity (BEQ) set forth for each line item is the estimated total quantity the Government expects to order over the applicable ordering period of the contract.

(b) The contractor shall furnish all material, plant facilities, labor, parts, equipment and expertise necessary to perform overhaul, calibration and functional test required to restore furnished reparable to a serviceable condition. Work is to be accomplished in accordance with attachments and Tech Oder Specifications. The contractor shall also accomplish necessary packing, preservation and packaging and return to the Government in completely serviceable condition, at the unit price (s) established at the time of award, the items of Air Force equipment listed below, all in accordance with the provisions hereof and the Work Specification in Section J thereof. The Government reserves the right to adjust the stock-list price as reflected in this solicitation either upward or downward at any time prior to or after contract award. This adjustment is not subject to negotiation.

NOTE 1: Failure of the Government to furnish such items in the amounts or quantities described in the

Schedule as "estimated" or "maximum" will not entitle the contractor to any equitable adjustment in price under the Government Property clause of the contract.

(c) LINE ITEM STRUCTURE: The Government reserves the right to add Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) to support the KC 135 Multi- Point Refueling System repairs as needed. Information SubLine Items Numbers (InfoCLIN) or Sub-Contract Line Item Numbers (SubCLIN) may be established under CLINs to accommodate accounting and appropriation.

NOTE 2: All references to "X" in the CLIN represent sequential numbering of the years as follows:

0 = Base Year

1 = Option 1

2 = Option 2

3 = Option 3

4 = Option 4

5 = Extension of services (if necessary)

(d) END ITEM BEYOND ECONOMICAL REPAIR: "Economically Repairable End Items" are defined as end items which can be restored to a serviceable condition, in accordance with applicable requirements, when costs of repair will not exceed 75% of the Stock List Price specified in the contract. If the contractor estimates the total cost of the repair and/or overhaul of any end item received will exceed the above percentage of the Stock List Price, the Contractor shall promptly notify the administrative contracting officer in writing and shall not perform further services on any such items except at the direction of the administrative contracting officer. Upon receipt of the written notification that a particular item is not reparable, the contractor shall dispose of the unit in the manner directed by the administrative contracting officer. The procuring contracting officer may authorize the contractor, through the administrative contracting officer, to exceed the percentage of the Stock List Price in subparagraph (d) above when an item is in critical supply status.

The best estimated quantity (BEQ) is the same each year for each Line Item.
