Repair of LCS2 Class Waterjet and Impeller Shaft Assemblies   2

Background
The Department of the Navy, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is responsible for research and development, test and evaluation, engineering, and fleet support for the Navy’s ships, submarines, military watercraft, and unmanned vehicles.

This contract aims to procure repair services for Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) 2 class waterjet and impeller shaft assemblies from Defense Maritime Solutions (DMS), as they are the sole producers of these assemblies. The goal is to maintain a ready-for-issue rotatable pool of these assemblies to support LCS-2 Class hulls.

Work Details
The contractor will perform repairs on the following US Navy National Stock Numbers (NSN):
- WLD 1500 SR Waterjet Assembly (NSN: 2090-01-622-3635 P2)
- WLD 1500 SR Shaft Assembly (NSN: 2090-01-622-3633 P2)
- WLD 1720 SR Waterjet Assembly (NSN: 2090-01-625-9789 P2)
- WLD 1720 SR Shaft Assembly (NSN: 2090-01-629-1223 P2).

The scope includes re-packaging of both waterjet and impeller shaft assemblies. The contractor must adhere to various specifications and standards throughout the repair process, including conducting inspections using NAVSEA Forms and ensuring compliance with applicable documents. The contractor is responsible for all inspection requirements, utilizing qualified personnel for Nondestructive testing (NDT) and welding procedures. Digital documentation of repairs through photographs is required, along with initial visual preservation inspections upon receipt of assemblies.
