Description

Background
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), National Center of Agricultural Utilization Research (NCAUR) in Peoria, IL, has a requirement to repair various building systems.

The mission of NCAUR is to invent new industrial and food products from agricultural commodities, develop new technologies to improve environmental quality, and provide technical support to Federal regulatory and action agencies. The goal of this contract is to ensure the facility remains operational while performing necessary repairs.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all services, field labor, equipment (including cranes, rigging, and digging equipment), materials, testing, and personal protective equipment necessary to perform the work.

The scope includes:
1) Base Bid - Upgrade Steam Condensate System;
2) Alternate 1 - Upgrade Electrical Vault 1;
3) Alternate 2 - Upgrade Electrical Vault 6.

The facility will be occupied during construction activities, requiring careful planning to minimize disruption.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 336 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
