Repair Bldg. 606, General Instruction Building, Math and System Engineering Center (MSEC) USMA at West Point, NY   3

Background
The United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point, NY, is issuing a solicitation for the repair of Building 606, the General Instruction Building, as part of their mission to maintain and enhance educational facilities.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that the building meets current standards and requirements through necessary renovations and improvements.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for a variety of construction tasks including:

- Renovation of MSEC (Math and System Engineering Center) in Building 606 according to plans and specifications;
- Exterior restoration and HAZMAT abatement;
- Installation of pathways for IT/ESS systems as specified in CLINs 0016-0023;
- Concrete sidewalks/curbs work outside the 5-foot line surrounding the building;
- Mass rock excavation within specified boundaries;
- Trench and stormwater detention work;
- Turnover of electronic and printed operation and maintenance manuals and as-built drawings upon completion.

Specific tasks are detailed in various Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs), including but not limited to:

- CLIN 0001 for general renovation work,
- CLIN 0002 for concrete work,
- CLIN 0003 and CLIN 0004 for mass rock removal,
- CLIN 0005 for trench excavation, and optional items such as resinous matrix terrazzo flooring (CLIN 0008) and epoxy fill mortar leveling (CLIN 0009). All work must comply with the provided specifications and drawings.

Period of Performance
The total period of performance for the base bid scope is set at 1160 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP).

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the United States Military Academy located at West Point, NY.
