REPAIR Airfield Apron - 126 ARW, Scott AFB, IL   2

Background
The 126 Air Refueling Wing at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, requires comprehensive repairs to its airfield infrastructure. The mission of the 126 ARW is to ensure operational readiness and safety for air refueling operations. This contract aims to restore the structural integrity of the pavement, eliminate safety hazards, extend the service life of the facilities, and ensure compliance with all applicable Air Force and FAA standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all management, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to perform comprehensive repairs to the concrete apron, asphalt shoulders, and airfield markings. Specific tasks include:

1. Concrete Apron Joint Sealant, Crack Repair, & Spall Repair:
- Removal of existing joint sealants and preparation of joint reservoirs.
- Installation of new sealants that are jet fuel-resistant.
- Routing and sealing of cracks.
- Spall and partial depth repair of concrete surfaces.

2. Asphalt Shoulder Mill and Overlay: Approximately 14,500 square yards.

3. Airfield Marking Removal and Replacement: Approximately 35,000 linear feet.

4. POL Asphalt Road Repair: 550 square feet.

All work must adhere to Construction Wage Rate Requirements and comply with safety protocols including a Foreign Object Debris (FOD) control plan.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 90 days following the notice to proceed.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be small businesses as this is a Small Business Set Aside - Total (SBA). They must possess appropriate contractor licensing for construction work and meet bonding requirements as stipulated in the solicitation. Additionally, bidders must comply with security clearance requirements for access to Scott AFB.
