Requirements:
Bid submittals will include the make and model of the machine being quoted, a checklist of each item in the unit specifications section below denoting whether the unit meets the requirement, and the actual dimension for any item with a specific measurement requirement.

If supporting information includes multiple models, the vendor shall clearly state the model number of proposed unit and redact all information not applicable to the proposed unit.

Type: Internal Combustion, Counterbalanced, Rider
Minimum lift height: 120
Max collapsed height: 100
Max length: 156
Tires: Pneumatic, solid pneumatic, shaped solid, or equivalent
Forks: 48 long forks, not to exceed 2 thickness or 5 width
Power type: Gasoline or Diesel (preferred), Propane (acceptable)
Shall be no older than 5 years
Unit will be equipped with designated lifting points for lifting with a crane using a standard 4-legged sling arrangement. A rigging/lifting sketch will be available and provided to the Government on request.
Enclosed cab with heater, defrost, and wipers (preferred), or rain canopy (minimum)
A minimum of one air-circulating fan will be installed in the cab if air-conditioning is not included.
Any Diesel unit(s) will be equipped with glow plugs or other system to assist in cold weather starting. (Block heaters alone are not acceptable due to a lack of consistent electrical power availability.)
The carriage will be equipped with side-shift.
Hydraulic fork positioners (preferred)
Light package to include a minimum of front and rear working lights.
Unit will be equipped with an audible backup alarm.
Will have manufacturer's capacity data plate containing safe working load and maximum reach height at a minimum.
Operator controls shall be properly and clearly marked
An operator's manual will be in the machine
