Rental Epiroc FlexiROC T15 R Rock Drill

Background
The solicitation is for a 3-month lease of a rock drill, specifically the Epiroc FlexiROC T15 R. The project is titled '0413 BIL LRT Bear Creek Stream Restoration (rock drill lease) 3-month lease' and will take place in the Salmon-Challis National Forest in Idaho. The Forest Service has identified the Epiroc FlexiROC T15 as meeting the requirement for this project, as it is considered the safest operating drill rig for the confined space on the roadway where blasting will occur. The drill must have the ability to extend forward to produce a linear drill pattern and side to side without re-positioning the drill unit itself. Additionally, salient characteristics of the portable self-propelled, self-contained air compressor drilling unit that must be included are: ability to drill in rough terrain, self-contained air compressor (not a trailer unit), lightweight and compact design, ability to drill to either side of the unit in 45-degree arcs without repositioning, ability to drill forward in linear rows without repositioning, ability to drill 2-inch holes at a depth of 10 feet, long folding boom that can extend and swing side to side at least 12.6 feet for wide coverage, hydraulic drill rod support for extension drilling, and ability for the extendable boom to drill both horizontally and vertically.
