Background
The contract is issued by the Naval Base New London, Groton, CT, for the rental and maintenance of forklifts. The goal of the contract is to provide operational support through the provision of various types of forklifts, ensuring they meet specified operational requirements and safety standards.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide rental and maintenance services for four (4) 3-ton forklifts, one (1) 7.5-ton forklift, and one (1) 12.5-ton forklift. The tasks include:
- Providing published commercial labor rates and a breakdown of total prices for price justification purposes.
- Ensuring that all units comply with specified capacities and operational requirements as detailed in the Unit Specifications Table(s).
- Conducting inspections using a PNSY provided MHE Inspection Sheet upon delivery. Any machines not meeting requirements or having defects will be refused.
- Providing unlimited usage hours within the contracted period of performance.
- Delivering and picking up equipment at the specified location.
- Providing alternate forks if requested during the lease term at no charge.
- Ensuring all equipment is fully functional and compliant with applicable laws governing internal combustion material handling equipment.
- Notifying the representative a minimum of 48 hours prior to delivery.
- Performing routine preventative maintenance during normal first-shift hours unless otherwise arranged.
- Providing liquid spill protection during maintenance or emergency repairs.
