NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD REQUESTS THE RENTAL OF:

Background
The Norfolk Naval Shipyard, part of the United States Navy, is seeking to rent equipment for dry air layup operations. The goal of this contract is to provide essential Grade D air compressors and regenerative air dryers to support operations at Naval Operating Base Norfolk, Virginia.

Work Details
The contractor will provide two (2) Grade D Air Compressors with a capacity of 800 cubic feet per minute (CFM) and two (2) Regenerative Air Dryer Units with a minimum capacity of 930 CFM. The compressors must be oil-free, rotary screw designs that deliver Grade D air according to CGA G-7.1 or oil-free air per ISO 8573-1 Class 0. Each compressor must include an electric moisture separator after the cooler and be capable of running continuously outdoors, exposed to weather and saltwater air.

Specific requirements include:
- Compressors must be electrically powered, suitable for 460 VAC, 3-phase, 60HZ.
- Must have fully automatic switching controls, alarms, and indicators.
- Must comply with OSHA regulations and ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
- All components must meet or exceed NEMA Type 4 for outdoor use.
- Whip-check devices must be supplied with compressors.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from June 2026 to May 2027, with two option periods available.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Naval Station Norfolk and Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Virginia.
