Background
The proposed project is an unrestricted solicitation for a Design-Bid-Build construction contract for the renovation of the Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facility (TEMF) Building 2826, located at Fort Polk (Johnson), Louisiana.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, has a requirement from the U.S. Army and Fort Polk to provide this contract. The goal of the contract is to renovate and repair the failing building to ensure it can be effectively used for its designated functional purposes.

Work Details
The project will include extensive renovations including:
- Replacement of the roof and roof insulation;
- Replacement of exterior metal panels and insulation;
- Installation of new exterior windows, roll-up doors, and personnel doors;
- Upgrades to the vehicle exhaust system.

Interior renovations will involve repairs to walls, doors, floors, and ceilings. Additionally, the project will address failing plumbing systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, fire protection systems, compressed air distribution systems, and electrical systems. The project will also include the installation of petroleum, oil, and lubricants (POL) dispensing and recovery systems to meet spill prevention requirements. Hazardous materials abatement will be performed in compliance with relevant Army standards. Mold remediation will follow guidelines set forth in TG 277 and TG 278.
