Renovation of Dorm 2272

Background
The 354th Eielson Contracting Squadron is seeking qualification packages for Architect-Engineer (A-E) services to renovate Building 2272 located on Eielson AFB, Alaska. This four-story structure, originally constructed in 1992, encompasses approximately 79,500 square feet and includes 175 rooms for Airmen.

The renovation aims to ensure compliance with current codes and standards while optimizing energy efficiency and maintenance ease.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Investigating site conditions;
- Collecting and reviewing project data;
- Performing a hazardous material survey;
- Creating design concepts and cost estimates for the renovation of Building 2272 and its surrounding site;
- Submitting complete documentation including specifications and drawings necessary for the Government to advertise and award a construction contract.

Specific project goals include a complete overhaul of Building 2272, updating critical building systems such as life safety, fire protection, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural components/cladding, and utilities. Furnishings and finishes to be replaced include ceiling finishes, floor finishes, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, windows, cabinets, countertops, and more. The final design must include provisions for hazardous materials abatement and disposal.

Period of Performance
The contract requires delivery of 100% design documents within 272 calendar days.
