Renovation of Barracks, Building 416, Ft. Myer, Arlington, VA   5

The proposed procurement is Full and Open Competition (Unrestricted); NAICS 236220, "Commercial and Institutional Building Construction" with a size standardof $39.5M.

Project Description: The primary purpose of this project is executing the renovation of building 416 which is a four (4) wing barracks building and common use building for unaccompanied enlisted Marines assigned to the National Capital Region (NCR) and residing at Fort Myer in Arlington, Virginia.

The magnitude of construction is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. Construction duration is approximately 780 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Additional information in accordance with the statement of work will be included in the Request for Proposal (RFP) package.

This procurement is anticipated to be a firm-fixed price Design-Build (DB) construction contract utilizing the two (2)-phase best value tradeoff process. An award will be made to the offeror whose proposal is determined to be the best value to the Government considering the evaluation factors. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be released on or about 25 May 2020.

The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format to all authenticated accound holders of beta.SAM. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be the Internet only. This solicitation will not be issued in paper.
