Renovate Primary Care 538-24-100 - Construction - VAMC Chillicothe   5

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for the renovation of the Primary Care area at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center. The goal of this contract is to modernize and enhance the facility to meet Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) guidelines, thereby improving healthcare delivery to veterans. This project is a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), emphasizing the agency's commitment to supporting veteran-owned enterprises.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete new construction including, but not limited to: architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing requirements as shown on drawings and specifications. Specific tasks include:

1. Complete renovation in a multiphase project to allow uninterrupted operations.

2. Demolition of the existing Primary Care area.

3. Buildout of clinic addition shell space and existing Primary Care area to incorporate PACT concepts including On-Stage/Off-Stage corridors, co-located teamwork areas, standard exam and consult rooms, new lobby and reception area, and support/storage rooms.

4. Upgrade existing security systems including Access Control and Cameras.

5. Installation of redundant chillers to meet current HVAC design guidance.

6. Installation of two elevators in an existing shaft with required machinery for an expanded elevator machine room.

7. Compliance with Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) and Pre Construction Risk Assessment (PCRA) requirements.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is within 910 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
Work will be performed at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center located at 17273 St. Rt. 104, Chillicothe, OH 45601-9718.
