Project Title: Renovate Patient Privacy Phase II Project Number: 656-23-105

NAICS Code: 236220 - Commericial and Institutional Building Contractors / SBA Size Standard: $45M IAW VAAR 836.204 (h) (1), Magnitude of construction is between: $10,000,000 and $20,000,000.

Summary Project Description: This project is for the total renovation of the H-zone located on the fourth floor of Byukdubg 143 at the Salem VA Medical Center. Renovated space will provide for upgrade patient privacy by accommodating 20 patient rooms and their corresponding support spaces. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and qualified supervision necessary to perform general construction, alterations, and certain other items as graphically illustrated on the contract drawings, narratively described in the contract spedifications, drawings, and statement of work.

This contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part - 15 Contracting by Negotiations.

IAW VAAR 819-203-70 established public law, all bidders are required to be registered and current in System for Award Management (SAM) at the time of award. The official U.S. Government website is www.sam.gov.

This is a total Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set aside IAW 38 U.S.C. 8127 (d). SDVOSB is required to perform a minimum of 15% of the construction work on the project with its own labor force. Offerors are required to fill-out and signed 852.219-75 Certificate of compliance for service and construction, if not contractor will be ineligible for award.

Prime SDVOSB shall comply with subcontracting limitations as defined in 13 CFR 125.6.

Pre-Proposal Conference / Site Visit: Wednesday, August 9, 2023 @ 10:00AM EST location of site visit is Building 74 (front side of the Bilding 74).

Background
The solicitation is for the total renovation of the H-zone located on the fourth floor of Building 143 at the Salem VA Medical Center. The renovated space will accommodate 20 patient rooms and their corresponding support spaces. The contract will be awarded in accordance with Part - 15 Contracting by Negotiations. Work Details
The project includes general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical upgrades, partition wall installation, security equipment installation, medical equipment installation, and interior finish installation. The construction time allocated for completion of the work associated with Bid Item I (Base Bid) is 500 calendar days from notice to proceed (NTP) by the VA.
