Renovate Interior Corridors of Building 1, Floors 2 & 3   5

Background
The contract is issued by the Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center (MVAMC) with the goal of renovating the interior corridors of Building 1, specifically on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

This project aims to upgrade outdated finishes and improve the overall aesthetic environment for family members, staff, and visitors. The work will address critical issues such as peeling wall bases and outdated lighting while ensuring compliance with VA Design Guidelines.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Removal and replacement of existing wall, floor, and ceiling finishes in the public corridors of Building 1, Floors 2 & 3.
- Replacement of existing lighting fixtures.
- Removal, relocation, and reinstallation of fire alarm devices, sprinklers, and other utilities as necessary.
- Asbestos abatement and mold remediation as needed.
- Coordination with the project representative (COR) throughout the construction process.
- Development of a cost-loaded schedule post issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP).
- Compliance with MVAMC Infection Control and Construction Policy Requirements during work execution.
- Daily cleaning of the work area and proper disposal of construction debris.

Period of Performance
600 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
