Renovate Community Living Center (CLC) - 1st & 2nd Floor   4

Background
The contract is issued by the Miami VA Medical Center (MVAMC) with the goal of renovating the Community Living Center (CLC) on the 1st and 2nd floors. This project aims to upgrade outdated finishes and improve the overall environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The renovation will address aesthetic and functional deficiencies in the facility, ensuring compliance with VA Design Guidelines.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform all necessary construction work as per the Statement of Work (SOW). The scope includes: upgrading wall and floor finishes, replacing handrails and wall protection, repairing or replacing damaged ceiling tiles, replacing flooring in elevators, built-in lockers in resident rooms, Nurse Stations on both floors, and repainting/refinishing doors and door frames. All work must comply with VA Design Guidelines.

Specific tasks include: coordinating with the project Representative (COR), providing a cost-loaded schedule post-Notice to Proceed (NTP), securing the work area according to MVAMC Infection Control policies, maintaining cleanliness daily, and disposing of debris properly. Special requirements include background checks for personnel, issuance of identification badges by VA Police, and adherence to safety regulations including OSHA standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 800 calendar days following the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP).

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Miami VA Medical Center located at 1201 NW 16th St, Miami, FL 33125.
