Background
The project involves the renovation of Building 42 at the Lake City VA Medical Center in Lake City, Florida. The goal is to eliminate water leaks into the building, replace finishes, improve the HVAC system, and comply with ADA accessibility.

Work Details
The scope of work includes conducting assessments of the building envelope and HVAC ductwork, repairing water leaks and weatherproofing, replacing damaged ceiling tiles and floor finishes, repainting the building interior and exterior, refreshing restrooms, correcting ADA ramps, performing asbestos and lead testing and abatement as required, and submitting all required inspection results to the VA COR. The project also involves records management, scheduling, phasing, working hours coordination, project classification, safety requirements, electronic media usage, professional licensing compliance, construction document preparation, quality assurance/quality control procedures adherence, information system hosting/operation/maintenance/use compliance with security standards and privacy regulations.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the contract is 260 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP), with estimated dates for the base contract period from October 2nd, 2023 to October 17th, 2024.
