Background
Biscayne National Park, located approximately 20 miles south of Miami in Homestead, Florida, protects the northernmost group of living coral reefs in the continental United States and associated coastal and marine ecosystems. The park's primary mainland visitor and administrative area is Convoy Point. The National Park Service (NPS) requires a qualified contractor to perform hazardous tree work to enhance safety and improve the structural integrity of trees and vegetation in this area.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, and incidentals necessary to perform pruning/trimming services on hazardous trees, palms, mangroves, and woody vegetation within nine mapped work areas at Convoy Point. The work includes: crown thinning, crown raising/clearance pruning, deadwood removal, correction of prior improper cuts, selective removal of crossing or rubbing branches, palm pruning for specified profiles, maintaining clearances from buildings/signs/lights/docks, and selective vista pruning to improve views while protecting park resources. Daily debris removal and off-site disposal are required. No complete tree removals or stump removals are included in the base requirement.

Period of Performance
The contract work must be completed within 30 calendar days after award.
