Background
The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), Maritime Administration (MARAD) is issuing a firm-fixed-price construction contract for the roof replacement of Building 2612 at the James River Reserve Fleet (JRRF) located at Fort Eustis, VA.

The goal is to ensure the facility's structural integrity and safety.

Work Details
The contractor is required to remove the existing residential shingle roof, approximately 2000 sq. ft., and replace it with architectural shingles.

Tasks include replacing damaged or rotten plywood, installing new flashing, adding 2 inches of rigid insulation throughout both roof sections, installing pipe collars at plumbing penetrations, and cleaning and hauling away all job-related debris.
