Remove and Replace Cooling Tower Fill for B498, JBSA Randolph   2

Background
The requirement is issued by the Department of the Air Force, specifically the 502D Air Base Wing at Joint Base San Antonio, to address the cooling needs of mission-critical facilities.

The Cooling Tower plant located in building 498 supports operations at Randolph Airforce Base, ensuring optimal performance of equipment and supporting personnel health and readiness. The existing Cooling Tower Fill has accumulated sediment that cannot be effectively treated with chemicals, leading to restricted airflow and high operational temperatures for chillers. This contract aims to remove and replace the Cooling Tower Fill to restore efficient cooling operations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, equipment, and personnel for the removal, installation, and cleaning of Cooling Tower Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Fill and Drift Eliminators for four Cooling Tower Cells (Model# AT 224-018).

Specific tasks include:
- Assisting CE HVAC Shops with cell isolation;
- Verifying lockout/tagout procedures;
- Removing and disposing of existing PVC fill material and drift eliminators;
- Providing Evapco OEM PVC Fill material for all four cells;
- Replacing a total of 104 Drift Eliminators;
- Pressure washing interior casing panels and cold basin;
- Inspecting Cooling Tower operation post-replacement;
- Conducting final inspections with CE personnel;
- Ensuring compliance with federal/local codes and manufacturer specifications;
- Including all necessary labor, materials, disposal, supervision, and insurance.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall complete work within 15 business days after authorization from the CE Project Manager.

Cooling Towers are located above the Chilled Water Plant at building 498, 10370 Fifth St, Universal City, Texas 78150.
