Remove and Replace Carpet in Shiloh Military Park

Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the removal and replacement of carpet in the Shiloh Military Park Education Center. The goal of this contract is to enhance the facility's interior by updating flooring materials, which aligns with NPS's mission to preserve and maintain national parks for public enjoyment and education.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other non-personal services required to remove approximately 2250 square feet of existing carpet in the auditorium, offices, and two storage areas of the Education Center.

The current flooring consists of concrete with vinyl flooring beneath the carpet. The existing carpet is made up of 2x2 feet squares and will be replaced with new commercial-grade carpet squares of the same dimensions made from recycled materials.

The project includes:
- Complete removal of all existing carpet and adhesive from specified areas.
- Installation of new carpet squares according to manufacturer specifications.
- Coordination with park staff for moving furniture and ensuring minimal disruption during installation.
- Compliance with safety procedures and disposal regulations for construction debris.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and must be completed by June 30, 2025.
