Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the rehabilitation of Nike Missile Site hangar doors at Everglades National Park. The project aims to restore the structural integrity and functionality of these historic facilities, which are significant examples of Cold War-era military defense sites. The work is set aside for Woman-Owned Small Businesses, emphasizing the agency's commitment to supporting diverse contractors.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for rehabilitating the rolling hangar doors and associated structural components at three Missile Shelter Buildings (A, B, and C). The tasks include:

- Replacing in-kind steel pipe and X brace suspension systems
- Installing metal hood covers
- Refinishing/repainting the rolling hangar doors

The work will follow guidelines from the HM-69 Nike Missile Site Historic Structural Report and original U.S. Army construction documents from 1964. Special attention will be given to the exterior steel 'A' frames that support the steel 'I' Beam track of all three buildings. The project will commence at Missile Shelter Building C, followed by Buildings A and B.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is from July 7, 2025, to December 12, 2025.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will take place at Everglades National Park, specifically at the Nike Missile Site located at 40001 State Road 9336, Homestead, FL 33034.
