Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) Disposal and Incineration Services   2

Background
The contract is issued by the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) and focuses on the disposal and incineration of Regulated Medical Waste (RMW).
The goal is to ensure compliance with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) standards, thereby supporting the agency's mission to manage hazardous waste safely and effectively.

Work Details
The contractor will provide severable, non-personal services that include:
- Transportation of Regulated Medical Waste (RMW)
- Disposal of RMW in accordance with EPA and MDE standards
- Incineration services for RMW
- Compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and policies
- Performance must meet the criteria outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW) or Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Acceptance locations include Fort Detrick, MD, and Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, among others.

Period of Performance
From March 22, 2026, to March 21, 2031.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations including:
- Army Medical Research Institute of Disease, BLDG 1425 Porter Street, Fort Detrick MD 21702-5711
- Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, Robert Grant Avenue, BLDG 503, Silver Spring, MD 20910-7500.
