Region 01 Tree Planting Services

Background
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is seeking to establish a contract for tree planting services as part of its mission to support reforestation efforts. This initiative is aimed at enhancing forest health and sustainability within specific regions affected by disturbances such as fire, insects, or diseases. The contract will support the Forest Service (FS) Northern Region (R01) and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) mission requirements.

Work Details
The contractor will provide high-quality tree planting, shrub/native planting, and associated services to ensure maximum stock survival and achieve prompt reforestation on site-specific lands. Services will be required in tree improvement areas including seed orchards, clone banks, and genetic test sites. Additionally, services will be needed on lands that have been disturbed due to various causes where forested cover is desired according to land management plans.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a five-year ordering period.

Regions 01 Forests including areas such as Beaverhead-Deerlodge (MT), Bitterroot (MT), Custer Gallatin (MT, ND, SD), Dakota Prairie Grassland (ND), Flathead (MT), Helena-Lewis and Clark (MT), Idaho Panhandle (ID), Kootenai (MT), Lolo (MT), Nez Perce-Clearwater (ID).
