Background
The United States Forest Service (FS) Northern Region (R1) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Missoula Field Office require high-quality tree planting, shrub/native planting, and associated services to ensure maximum stock survival and achieve prompt reforestation on site-specific lands.

This contract aims to address areas affected by disturbances such as fire, insects, diseases, or harvesting, where forested cover is desired according to land management plans.

Work Details
The contractor will provide tree planting services across various regions including Eastern Montana Forests, Kootenai National Forest, Northern Idaho Forests, and Western Montana Forests. Specific tasks include:
- Planting of trees and shrubs in designated areas.
- Implementation of artificial shading and animal damage control treatments.
- Clearing debris from planting spots to expose mineral soil.
- Transporting seedlings from coolers to planting units as required.
- Adhering to safety protocols in areas with potential hazards like snags or burned trees.
- Ensuring access to planting units via four-wheel drive vehicles or walk-in methods as specified in task orders.
- Providing a detailed Quality Control Plan (QCP) and a work schedule that outlines the sequence and timeline for completing the work.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from March 2, 2026, to March 3, 2031.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in various locations within the Northern Region (R1) of the USDA Forest Service and the BLM Missoula Field Office in Montana.
