Background
MacDill Air Force Base in Florida is seeking a contractor to provide integrated solid waste management services, including refuse and recycling. The goal is to maintain cleanliness and comply with all relevant regulations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, supervision, and services for integrated solid waste management at MacDill AFB. Tasks include emptying municipal solid waste and recycling containers based on historical data or at least weekly, establishing vehicle routes and collection schedules, monitoring fill capacities, ensuring no litter within a 10-foot radius of containers after service, and performing duties consistent with the base Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan.

Curbside recyclables collection involves collecting commingled single-stream recyclables from facilities on base every Thursday. The transition-in period requires observing current work, familiarizing with requirements and procedures, hiring personnel, obtaining security clearances, processing vehicle registrations, completing training requirements, and developing work plans.

Period of Performance
The contract includes a 30-day transition period prior to the end of the existing contractor’s performance period.
