This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products and commercial services prepared in accordance with the format Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.202, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Products and Commercial Services, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued.

This solicitation is issued as an RFQ. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2025-06, effective 8/26/2025.

This solicitation is set-aside for 100% total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs).

The Long Beach Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (LBVAHCS) is seeking to purchase Quarterly Recurring Maintenance Services for Ice Machines.

Background
The Long Beach Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (LBVAHCS) is seeking to procure Quarterly Recurring Maintenance Services for Ice Machines to ensure compliance with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Directive 1061 (2), which focuses on the prevention of health care-associated Legionella disease and scald injury from water systems.
This solicitation is set aside for 100% total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs).

Work Details
The contractor will perform quarterly cleaning and maintenance on fifty-five (55) ice machines, totaling 220 services per year.
Tasks include:
1. Perform visual inspections for wear, corrosion, or leaks.
2. Clean, descale, and sanitize ice machines according to manufacturer guidelines.
3. Return the system to service, checking for proper operation and making adjustments as necessary.
4. Use only VHA-approved chemicals that meet manufacturer requirements.
5. Maintenance must occur every ninety (90) days.
The contractor must track preventative maintenance due dates and coordinate with the Program Point of Contact before initiating work.
