Records Move

Background
The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is seeking to relocate approximately 37,200, 48,000, or 57,600 cubic feet of archival records stored in various sized boxes and tubes at their facility in College Park, MD.

The goal of this contract is to facilitate the movement of these records to the National Archives at Kansas City (Subtropolis) facility in Kansas City, MO. This contract specifically excludes shelving the records in Kansas City or transporting them there.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all management, supervision, personnel, equipment, and materials necessary to pull, prepare, palletize, and move the archival records. Key tasks include:
1. Labor for pulling boxes off shelves and palletizing them.
2. Moving palletized records from storage areas to loading docks for shipping.
3. Maintaining the condition of records during handling.
4. Using approved transport devices like streamliners and pallet jacks with prior authorization from NARA.
5. Following a strict sequence for pulling and palletizing records as per lists provided by NARA staff.
6. Staging pallets for loading onto trucks with a maximum of 12 pallets loaded per day.
7. Ensuring cleanliness and adherence to NARA's policies regarding food and drink in work areas.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from May 1, 2025 through September 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The primary location for performance is the NARA facility at 8601 Adelphi Road, College Park, MD.
