Recombinant Protein Production for CVV Investigation

Background
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking to contract for the production of recombinant proteins and antibodies to support the Influenza Division's research objectives. The goal of this contract is to provide essential materials for further characterization tests, which will aid in understanding binding complexes and kinetics related to viral interactions.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide sixty-five (65) small-scale preparations of recombinant viral proteins expressed in a mammalian production line (HEK293 or similar), starting from a digital sequence provided by the CDC. The work includes:

1. Producing proteins in HEK293 or similar cells;
2. Performing gene synthesis and vector construction;
3. Ensuring a minimum yield of 1mg per preparation;
4. Achieving a target purity greater than 90% as measured by SDS-PAGE;
5. Delivering all preparations in an electric format (PDF) to a Subject Matter Expert (SME) from the Influenza Division within four weeks post-delivery of the sequence.

Place of Performance
Work will be conducted entirely at the Contractor’s facility.
