Background
The Federal Bureau of Prisons is issuing this contract for the provision of razor wire to support security operations at FCI McKean. The goal of the contract is to ensure that the facility has adequate supplies of high-quality razor wire, which is essential for maintaining safety and security within the prison environment.

Work Details
The contractor will supply razor wire in accordance with the specifications outlined in the solicitation. The specific requirements include:

1. **Type A Razor Wire**:
- Quantity: 25 Linear ft coils, totaling 25,000 linear ft.
- Specifications: Coils shall be 750 mm (30") in diameter, fabricated from ASTM A 666 spring quality austenitic stainless steel, with a minimum hardness of Rockwell (30 N) 50-55, nominal thickness of 0.64 mm (0.025"), and width prior to fabrication of 30 mm (1.210").
- Barb clusters must have a maximum tip radius of 0.127 mm (0.005") and be punched every 100 mm (4").

2. **Type B Razor Wire**:
- Quantity: 50 Linear ft coils, totaling 38,500 linear ft.
- Specifications: Coils shall also be 750 mm (30") in diameter, fabricated from ASTM 176 Stainless Steel strip hardened to Rockwell (30 N) 35-40, with similar barbed specifications as Type A.

3. **Freight Charges**:
- Quantity: 1 Job (JB).

The total award amount will be based on firm fixed prices as specified in the continuation sheets.

Period of Performance
The anticipated award date for this contract is September 1, 2025, with an effective date starting October 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
All products will be delivered to FCI McKean Facilities Department located at 6975 Route 59, Lewis Run, Pennsylvania 16738.
