Background
The 502d Contracting Squadron (CONS) is issuing a justification for a one-time requirement to complete critical repairs on the chillers at Building 1068, Army and Air Force Exchange Service, located at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), Randolph.

This facility serves over 262 military and civilian personnel, along with hundreds of daily customers. The mission is to ensure operational efficiency and comfort by maintaining the cooling systems essential for the facility's function.

Work Details
The contract involves the removal and installation of cooling solenoids and IGV drives for Chiller #1 Compressor and Chiller #2 Compressor.

The work is critical due to the catastrophic failure of one of the two mag lift compressors, which poses a risk of insufficient air conditioning for personnel and customers. The selected contractor, DAIKEN APPLIED AMERICAS INC, has specialized knowledge of the proprietary equipment and software necessary for this task. They are uniquely qualified as they are the only local company with factory-trained and certified technicians capable of performing this work.
