Radon Detectors for Naval Support Activity, Singapore

Background
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific (NAVFAC PAC) is seeking to procure 1200 long-term ATF radon detectors for upcoming radon testing work at the Naval Support Activity (NSA) Singapore.

This acquisition is justified under the authority of the Multiple Award Schedule Program, which allows for limited source actions when the item is peculiar to one manufacturer.

Work Details
The contract involves the procurement of 1200 long-term ATF radon detectors.

These detectors must meet specific requirements as outlined in the Navy Radon Assessment and Mitigation Program (NAVRAMP) Guidebook. The selected radon detectors are required to be National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP) certified and capable of reporting measurements in pCi/l and pCi*days/l.

The justification for limiting sources indicates that after conducting market research among AbilityOne, UNICOR, GSA, and SBA, it was determined that only one company meets these requirements and has an existing GSA Contract.
