Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Kansas City District has a need for disposal services for radioactive materials and waste generated at various sites throughout the nation. The vendor must possess and maintain a license or permit and be approved by USACE for disposal of various types of radioactive waste. The vendor shall comply with all Federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, statutes and regulations pertaining to the provided services.

The government intends to award multiple Blanket Purchase Agreement's (BPAs) from this combined synopsis/solicitation to the vendors whose quotations are the most advantageous to the government, considering price and, as applicable, technical qualifications. Specifically, the government will review the vendor's pricing to determine whether it provides a fair and reasonable price for the items submitted and, as applicable, will review the technical information submitted to determine whether the services offered satisfy the requirements identified in the solicitation.

The vendor shall comply with all Federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, statutes and regulations pertaining to the provided services. Work Details
The supplier shall furnish all services if and when requested by the Contracting Officer (KO) during the specified performance period, not to exceed 5 years from the date of award of the base agreement. The work may require ancillary tasks such as disposal of comingled RCRA hazardous waste materials, transportation services, material handling and packaging, and treatment. Work will be executed under BPA Calls using Performance Work Statements (PWSs) specific to that particular Call. The work will be performed in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Period of Performance
The agreement will be for radiological waste disposal services in support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and its customers located in USACE assigned mission areas. The BPAs will be awarded to contractors owning disposal facilities for radiological disposal services from various known or suspected sites that have been impacted by radioactive material and/or contamination. The base agreement's performance period shall not exceed 5 years from the date of award.
